Regarding the development of the film, hardly anything has been commented, so it is likely that Denis Villeneuve wants to take his time so that his latest film in this universe is even more ambitious than its predecessors, something quite complicated given the epic proportions of Dune: Part 2. As for the release date, obviously nothing has been said either, but considering that he is still writing the script, it is most likely that we will not hear more about the film for at least a year or even more.
