当日早些时候，巴黎奥运会第一支火炬在位于希腊的火种采集仪式现场点燃，按计划，奥运火炬将在希腊境内传递11天，4月26日在雅典移交给巴黎奥组委代表团，4月27日通过船只运往法国。
巴黎奥运会将于7月26日开幕。
